untitled series

January 6, 2008

i bought a top quality spanish paint brush. it was beyond my ordinary budget but i know it will be worth it in the long run. i can’t wait to dip ourselves into passionate colours.

i also have 5 new canvases to exploit. 3 are flat and narrow and the other 2 have wooden back frames. i’m thinking about getting a couple more to complete the new series i’ve been working on.

this series will dominantly involve fish, birds and horses. the fish part will exhibit an overwhelming display of a peculiarly large fish in an ordinary cityscape. the bird part will include omnipresence of people in beaked italian masquerades and real birds. the horses will portray snapshots of merry-go-round horses in fascinating expressions and colours.

thus far i’m yet to come up with a name for the series, but from my drafts, i know they will be colourfully emotional. i’ve stopped publicly discussing embedded meanings and symbolism since my last painting of ‘multifarious’ because now i believe it’s upto the people to build up their thoughts about such philosophical things. also, that way anyone can directly apply their views with the piece and i do not have to restrict and guide them into some thing. so i will keep my personal thoughts in my pants for now.

furthermore, i’m still deciding whether to disclose the series piece by piece or as a whole. i do not promise anything so we’ll see as the time passes.
